Refugee Week | Sarj & ImRealMo

In this episode, hosts Mo and Sarj dig into the Refugee Week 2025 theme, Community as a Superpower, with a collage of music and found sound, personal narrative, community voices and more. Sarj interviews Mo about his personal experiences weathering the German asylum system while being supported by his music community, and of course we’ll hear some of the music he made and listened to along the way. We’ll also hear testimonies from community organizers Bethi and Doris, two members of the Berlin- and Brandenburg-based Women in Exile e.V., an association of refugee women who have been working tirelessly in migrant mutual aid and rights organizing in Germany for over 20 years.
