Dragging digital hardcore and experimental rave music into chaotic, high-energy realms, Brooklyn's Murderpact uses spasmodic tempos and fractured soundscapes to create a glitchy, high-speed rollercoaster of aurals. Comprised of producer/composer Hampton Albert and percussionist/composer John Bemis, the duo came together in 2017 while studying music, joining forces to forge their own style of physical, heavy, and psychedelic music.
Hybridizing elements of club music, extreme metal, IDM and bass music, the duo found their home in New York City’s experimental DIY and rave scenes, becoming notorious for intense, unrelenting live sets. Thicc with grimy bass lines and chaotic beat drops and often concept-driven, elements of physical tech fuse with digital releases that include “possessed” flash drives loaded with malware that temporarily takes over the user's computer—a fully immersive and chaotic audiovisual experience with a slick dystopian aesthetic. They have performed alongside acclaimed artists such as Lightning Bolt,Lucas Abelas, Machine Girl, Torche, Jason Lindner, and Street Sects.
